Immigrating to Alberta

The SouthGrow Region welcomes visitors and newcomers to the region.  In fact, according to Citizenship and Immigration Canada, in 2007, 317 immigrants selected a location in the SouthGrow region as their destination of choice on their permanent residence application.  This figure does not include temporary foreign workers, students or temporary residents.

The region's diversified economy, excellent quality of life and welcoming communities make it prime place for settlement.  This is evident by the large total change (64.8%) for the SouthGrow region between 2002 and 2007.

The Province of Alberta provides numerous resources to guide immigrants considering settlement in the SouthGrow region before and after arriving to the region and the province.
